Over The Hill Route The Over The Hill Challenge
Series
This one is aimed primarily at the more mature discerning athlete, although it is
open to any age group. It consists of a roller-coaster circuit linking seven OS
pillars in a traverse of some of England's wildest terrain. One of the highlights
is the Howgills where the opportunity to wander up and down their grassy slopes unhindered
by walls or crags is irresistible. Overall the round involves some 40 miles and
8000 feet of ascent.
